Ron Johnson, CBI, M&AMI, Fellow of the IBBA
Ron Johnson has been President and owner of ABI Business Sales, Mergers & Acquisitions in San Ramon, California for over ten years.
Ron is a well recognized leader in the profession. He was the 2007 Chairman of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), a 26 nation professional association focused on education and credentialing, and sister organization to M&A Source. He has chaired the IBBA's Affiliates Committee, the Conference Planning Committee, the Finance Committee, and currently serves on the IBBA Board of Directors and is the chair of its Nominating Committee. Ron also teaches IBBA course 301 - Introduction to Mergers & Acquisitions.
Additionally, Ron served on the Board of Directors of the California Association of Business Brokers for 10 years, chaired the Education Committee, the Governmental Relations Committee, the Nominating Committee, and is a Past President.
Professional Certifications
Certified Business Intermediary (CBI)
Earned through the IBBA, one of only 650 in the world, requires over 100 hours of courses and workshops, attendance at professional conferences, and successful completion of a comprehensive exam.
Mergers & Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI)
A higher level certification earned through the IBBA/M&A Source, requiring additional courses and workshops, attendance at M&A Source conferences, evidence of successfully brokering a number of merger & acquisition-level transactions. Fewer than 100 worldwide hold this certification. |
